Community Outreach And Initiatives

WBS takes pride in its active community involvement. One notable example is the distribution of school supplies to underprivileged students, such as the initiative led by then Quezon City Vice-Mayor-elect Joy Belmonte. In this outreach activity, more than 400 students from Payatas B Elementary School received school bags and educational materials. Assisting her were school principal Rebecca Rivera, Barangay Captain Rose Dadulo, and Kagawad Alejandro Adan. This program exemplifies WBS’s commitment to supporting students from economically disadvantaged communities, many of whom are part of its member schools.

WBS fosters holistic development among students by supporting extracurricular activities such as athletics, cultural programs, and academic competitions. These initiatives not only help students grow in various aspects of life but also strengthen the bonds between schools, communities, and educators.

With determination, skill, and discipline, these young swimmers brought home an impressive collection of gold, silver, and bronze medals, showcasing their exceptional talent and hard work. Their visit to our office, accompanied by their dedicated teachers, was filled with pride and celebration as they shared stories of their thrilling experiences and triumphs in the competition. This moment serves as a powerful reminder of how youth, when nurtured and supported, can shine on a global stage.

This vibrant and heartwarming photo captures a joyful gathering of students, parents, and teachers from one of our partner schools in Antipolo City. The occasion was a special community event celebrating the collective achievements of the school, bringing together families and educators in a meaningful show of unity, support, and school spirit. Everyone wore smiles of pride as they participated in various fun-filled and educational activities, strengthening the bonds between home and school. The large turnout reflects the deep commitment of this school community to nurturing not just academic success but also strong values and relationships that contribute to the holistic development of every child.

(Teachers’ Reunion) This group features dedicated educators who are proud alumni of Batangas High School’s Class of 1991. After years of service in various institutions, these passionate teachers reunited to celebrate their shared journey and recommit to their noble mission of shaping young minds. The heartfelt reunion was more than a nostalgic get-together – it was also an inspiring moment of reflection and renewed purpose as they geared up to continue serving in the field of education this school year. Some of the teachers have since joined the WBS, and a few are pictured here in the foreground, representing the values of excellence, service, and lifelong learning that define the WBS.

In this inspiring photo are the core trainers of WBS, proudly standing with enthusiastic preschool teachers from various parts of Luzon. This gathering marked the culmination of a dynamic and transformative training program held during the summer, aimed at empowering educators with innovative and inclusive teaching strategies for early childhood education. The program focused on preparing teachers to deliver high-quality preschool instruction in underserved areas, specifically in the MIMAROPA region – an administrative division in southern Luzon composed of Mindoro (Occidental and Oriental), Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan. These dedicated educators are now equipped to bring impactful learning experiences to young children in remote communities, helping bridge educational gaps and ensuring that even the most geographically isolated learners have access to quality foundational education. This initiative truly embodies the WBS’s mission of “Reaching the Unreached.”

“From Hope to Legacy: Nurturing Future Educators Through Compassion”
These radiant young graduates are more than just students celebrating a milestone – they are the future educators of our nation. Through the support of WBS, these promising youth – many of whom once faced unimaginable hardship – were given not only the chance to finish school, but to pursue their calling as teachers. WBS’s belief that one caring person can change the course of a child’s life rings true in this moment. Each cap and gown represents a life transformed, a classroom yet to be filled, and the enduring ripple of kindness that will touch generations to come.

“On the Frontlines of Change: WBS Volunteers with Sumulong Elementary School”
This vibrant photo captures the heart of WBS in action. Volunteers – retired teachers, mentors, and advocates – stand proudly with the students and principal of Sumulong Elementary School after another successful outreach. They delivered not just educational tools, but also the message that every child deserves a chance to learn and thrive. This visit, like many others led by WBS, reflects the organization’s mission: to uplift underserved communities by equipping both learners and future teachers with the support they need. Behind every smile in this photo is a story of connection, empowerment, and the belief that education opens doors – especially when guided by the hands of those who once walked the same difficult path.
